Hellooooooo everyone. Or anyone who's still reading after I sadly abandoned my little bloggy for the past month. I've been pretty busy this past month, what with the chagim, a family simcha in the making (to anyone who doesn't know what that's about--no, I'm not engaged, nor am I dating, thank you for not asking), lots of traveling and fun times and not so fun times and everything in between. I guess I'll just summarize the past few weeks so you'll know what fun you missed in my life. :)
R"H was a blast (thanks again to SerandEz!), the davening was amazing and the company was highly entertaining. I'm not even sure I'm allowed to have that much fun on R"H. And of course, motza"sh playing Boggle until 4 AM was highly entertaining as well, even though I didn't stand a chance of winning with SJ playing.
Y"K was intense but good. The place I davened at only had a 15-minute break the whole day (well, there was also a 10-minute break for those of us who are b"H still able to leave for Yizkor), and davening started very early (7? 7:15? I don't remember anymore) but it was good. I like places where there's no (or at least minimal) talking in shul.
The first days of Sukkot were spent in Lakewood Ir HaKoidesh, visiting various families I've gotten to know there over the course of several years. It was especially nice that every family I went to was disappointed that I would only be there for a short while and asked when I'd be coming again (and hoping it would be soon!). It's nice to feel welcome and wanted. :)
During Chol Hamoed, I went to a friend's l'chaim, went to work (blah), and spent time doing other various fun things like getting ready for the upcoming simcha and eating in the sukkah of a fancy restaurant.
And Shmini Atzeret/Simchat Torah was spent at home in "Montana" with my family, who up until then had been sorely neglected this holiday season (if you couldn't tell from my itinerary). We had many guests, hakafot were fantastic (the women dance in my shul, which is much more fun than watching the men IMO), new friends were made, and in general a good time was had by all.
Now it's back to the grind, working and such. I'd say that now I can relax, but with various things going on, as well as the aforementioned simcha looming, I'm not going to be able to breathe until November. C'est la vie. I'll try not to go for a whole month without posting again, but no promises.

ooooh you should have stopped over...for a meal or two...
(bows) RH *was* great, thanks to all our wonderful guests! (How's that for splitting the credit? :P )
And I thought MY month was busy...
Aw, come on! You can stick in a post here and there...you know, for eloquence's sake :-)
So glad to hear that it was good stuff that you kept you from posting. Sounds like you had a wonderful month!
DOTL--I had a pretty packed schedule, between all of the people I visited. And I have no idea what side of the lake you're on. Next time... :)
ezzie--you're too generous. Seriously. ;-)
corner point--like I said, I'll try not to go for so long without posting again. If nothing else, Chana just tagged me with an interesting meme, so when I have time I'll get around to that. No promises of eloquence, though. :-P
come running--b"H, I really can't complain. It's good to be busy with good things. :)
I'm on the lake...silly..
:-)
seriously..you're always invited
David, you have a houseboat?! Cooooool.
:-P
Oh yes, I most certainly was busy, but it was fun amongst all the hectic madness. :)
I'm glad you didn't stop checking up! I sometimes go for awhile without adding anything new, either because I don't feel like I have anything to say or because I can't blog about the things I'd want to discuss. But I'll try to update a little more often than once a month.
scraps - you didn't see david floating on the lake? (he's borrowed some powers from harry potter. and the inferi can't get him...)
seriously - hope you start with some real posts soon...
Wow - busy-ness. Good luck. If you ever have a slow moment, drop by.
Thanks for the mention! R"H was indeed quite lovely. Hope to hear more from you soon!
Hey Scraps, we miss you around here...post us another, please!!!
And Mazel Tov!
I'm sure that'll be a really good post once you come back...

I'm sure that'll be a really good post once you come back...
And I wanted so badly to get that through to you that I sent it twice!
:-)
Honestly, no clue how that happened...
dreamer--I'll see what I can do.
bad4shidduchim--Yup, busy busy, but I do drop by and say my piece. :)
sj--no charge.
corner point--ok, ok, I get the idea! (And it's okay, sometimes there's just a glitch in the system and it makes a double post.)
nice to get a lil summary of them intensity goin on by da scrapsers.
(david's a toad)
Mazel tov scraps! Thinking of you here..you're probably at the chupa right now.
hey, next time you're in lkwd ihr hakodesh (smirk), come visit me as well ;)
And you didnt come to moir, Im insulted...
BTW, where is this Lakewood "Ir HaKodesh" , I would love to visit it someday...
Semgirl, good question. I don't think it exists :(
Wow, I'm so popular! I had no idea...
Now that I'm back from my weeklong forced Internet break, I'll have to come up with a new post topic.
Oh, and the "Ir HaKoidesh" was meant somewhat sarcastically. I'm well aware that Lakewood is far from perfect.
more like faaaaaaaar! ;)
(weren't we all being sarcastic?)
Of course. I know you were being sarcastic; I just wanted to make it clear that I was as well. :)
